  • Oklahoma prisons to remain locked down; visitation canceled

    OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma’s statewide prison lockdown will continue this weekend and beyond, Oklahoma Department of Corrections officials report.   • Update on statewide prison lockdown

    OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma Department of Corrections is continuing to investigate the coordinated gang-related violence from last weekend that took place at six prisons.   • Stabbing injures Lawton Correctional Facility inmate; ODOC investigating

    OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma Department of Corrections is investigating a stabbing on Saturday that injured a Lawton Correctional Facility inmate. Inmate James Bever was found lying in a pod shower with multiple stab wounds. He was transported via ambulance to a hospital and later flown to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Bever, 36, is serving time on a seven-year Pittsburg County sentence for escape. The incident is the second stabbing at the facility in a week.
