Help us congratulate this year’s Probation and Parole Officer of the Year, Brandi Chamberlain. Chamberlain excels in all areas at ODOC and as a volunteer in her home town of Miami. She regularly shows leadership, organizational skills and commitment to task.
She is a true team player and skilled trainer, training staff in topics from Narcan to self-defense. Her supervisors say she motivates offenders to change and gives them the best chance to succeed after prison. She also has a strong knowledge of standards and policy, often providing examples supporting American Correctional Association standards.
She began her career with ODOC in 2003 as a Correctional Security Officer at Northeast Oklahoma Correctional Center. She’s also a former member of Northeast Oklahoma Correctional Center’s CERT, and a current volunteer with Craig County Emergency Management. Officer Chamberlain also coordinated her team’s participation in the Chili Cook-Off and Craig County Backpack Program, which raised $4,000 for 70 local children.
