Oklahoma City Fugitive Added to DOC Top 15 Most Wanted

Oklahoma City Fugitive Added to DOC Top 15 Most Wanted

James King (184060) walked away from Clara
Waters Community Corrections Center Dec. 24

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma Department of Corrections Office of the Inspector General has added James King to its list of top 15 most wanted fugitives.

On Dec. 24, King, 45, was not accounted for during a routine facility inmate count at the Clara Waters Community Corrections Center in Oklahoma City.

Officials performed an emergency count and search of facility grounds. After the search, it was determined he had walked away.

He has been placed on the Top 15 Fugitive list because of his history of violent tendencies and for violating a victim’s protective order in March.

King came into DOC custody in August and is serving a sentence for possession of a controlled substance out of Tulsa County.

Corrections Director Joe M. Allbaugh said although King was not currently serving time for a violent crime, he is a dangerous individual.

“King poses a threat to the public, which is why we are looking to get him off the streets and back into custody as quickly as possible,” Allbaugh said. “The public has been instrumental in the past by helping our agents locate some of the state’s most dangerous individuals. We are asking for the same assistance once again.”

King is 6 feet 1 inches tall and weighs approximately 230 pounds. He previously served time in DOC custody for robbery out of Washington County and maiming out of Tulsa County.

Authorities ask if King’s whereabouts are known or if he is seen, to not approach him and call law enforcement immediately.

If additional information on King is known, authorities ask individuals to call the DOC fugitive warrants division at (405) 425-2570 or submit an email with information to warrants@doc.ok.gov.

All information obtained via phone or email is kept strictly confidential.
