  • ODOC investigating inmate homicide at Oklahoma State Penitentiary

    The Oklahoma Department of Corrections is investigating a homicide that took place Friday night at Oklahoma State Penitentiary.A correctional officer doing a routine security check around 7:30 p.m. found a male, maximum-security inmate unresponsive inside his cell on C-Unit.     OSP: New visitation times, entry point for visitors

    MCALESTER -- Oklahoma State Penitentiary has moved its facility visitation from the Administration Building to H-Unit’s entry. All facility visitors, including inmate visitors, must now enter through the H-Unit entry.     Search continues for escaped inmate; reward available

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Dec. 3, 2018 OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma Department of Corrections Fugitive Apprehension and Investigations agents are working with fugitive task forces in several states to bring Patrick Walker into custody. The U.S. Marshal Service has adopted the case, and issued a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to Walker's arrest.   Read More...

  • ODOC releases additional details on Wednesday’s OSP inmate deaths

    OKLAHOMA CITY -- Two Oklahoma State Penitentiary inmates died in separate and unrelated incidents Wednesday. The first death was discovered after midnight in the maximum-security prison for men’s infirmary.
